Helping Veterinary Professionals of Nevada.
Nevada PAW Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit for veterinary professionals in Nevada. Established in 2024.
Our initiatives span from raising awareness of suicide in the veterinary field, promoting preventive suicide measures, enlisting community engagement, and crisis support for all veterinary professionals. If you work in the veterinary field, no matter your position, we are here for you.
Talking about suicide won’t put the idea in someone else’s head, and it might help save a life. Suicide Awareness month has come to an end, but we can still raise awareness!
Suicide awareness & prevention is a scary topic, but it’s an important one we need to talk about in order to keep it from happening.

What does being a sponsor entail?
—By supporting our organization you will be helping us support other veterinary professionals. Healthy minds means healthy lives.
Why do we need a sponsor or donations?
—More funds means more ways to help. We will be able to create more interactive events, bring in more professionals to teach courses on how to create a better work-life balance, and create more programs to help veterinary professionals get the help they need when they need it. These are just a few of the many things we have planned for this community.
Our Key Pillars
Prevention
Together we can prevent fatigue and suicidal thoughts. We advocate for a healthy work-life balance and a better mental health mind set. Suicide is preventable and even a single occurrence is one too many.
Awareness
Discussing suicide and sharing these feelings allows us to better prepare ourselves and others. Increasing awareness helps more people recognize signs of mental health decline and fatigue, enabling them to intervene and help prevent suicide.
Wellness
Our health is just as important as the health of the pets we care for. Engaging in activities that connect us with nature, encourage physical movement, and promote rejuvenation helps us disconnect from work and reconnect with ourselves, nature, and those around us.
Community
We are all in this society together, unity strengthens us, and with that strength we can achieve greater outcomes. You are not alone. Fostering a culture of support and solidarity within our community, recognizing that collective support leads to a stronger, more resilient community.
